What is the NICU Experience?

Heading home with a baby is the day you’ve been waiting for. You may have spent countless hours reading about, preparing for, and thinking through your birthing plan. Now that baby is here, the focus is on getting to know them as well as your physical recovery. Little time may be spent aware of your mental state, quickly shifting hormones, emotional changes, and the inevitable baby blues.

The birthing process may or may not have gone according to plan and you may have needed to enter a NICU journey. This can be very stressful, with feelings of guilt and fear of the unknown gripping you. Preparing for this time with a coach, you will have the comfort and confidence in your ability to be resilient through this. Having your coach lead you through relaxation techniques will make sure you feel well cared for and running through your well-practiced skills in between calls will keep you on track. This is a courageous phase; you got this mama!
