Heading home with baby is the day you’ve been waiting for. You may have spent countless hours reading about, preparing for and thinking through your birthing plan. Now that baby is here, the focus is on getting to know them as well as your physical recovery. Little time may be spent aware of your mental state, quickly shifting hormones, emotional changes, and the inevitable baby blues. Sometimes it can be beyond baby blues and you can have uncontrollable crying bouts, feel sad or detached or simply shut down from life. It can go on for days, months or years. Having your coach lead you through relaxation techniques will make sure you feel well cared for and running through your well-practiced skills in between calls will keep you on track.
