You’re not in this alone. Our program includes personalized support from a dedicated coach or licensed therapist—real people, guiding real care.
Because mental health is family health. Get tools for connection, confidence, and calm—designed for expecting parents and their partners.
From preparing to parent to life after baby arrives, we provide emotional support every step of the way.
I recently completed two virtual and one in-person session of the Vital Start program, and as an expecting mother, I am incredibly grateful for the experience. With our first baby on the way, I was seeking relaxation and support, and that's exactly what I found. Each session left me feeling calm, rejuvenated, and empowered for the journey ahead. Vital Start has been an invaluable resource for me during my pregnancy journey, and I highly recommend it to any mother-to-be looking for support and guidance.
Vital start is the support and guidance I didn’t know I needed but intrinsically knew I deserved. Being able to talk through my worries and grow a tool box of healthy wholesome protocols that helped me stay calm and positive during what was a brutal delivery kept me present and grounded through my entire birthing process. I truly do believe without the work I’ve done with Vital Health I would not have been in the same confident place for either my prenatal process or my post partum journey. Every woman deserves to have this vital program as part of their journey into motherhood.
What services does Vital Start Health provide?
Vital Start Health offers virtual 1:1 and group mental health sessions with perinatal behavioral health experts, designed for pregnant and postpartum individuals and their partners. As part of your care, a virtual reality (VR) headset is shipped to your home at no additional cost. The headset gives you on-demand access to tools and practices that support your emotional wellness, reinforcing the skills introduced in therapy.
Our team will guide you through a brief training session to get started with VR and will continue to check in about your experience during each session with your provider. There’s no limit to how often you can use the headset, and you may keep it after completing at least six virtual sessions (individual or group).
Some clients may experience nausea while using VR, especially during pregnancy. To help reduce discomfort, we provide headset adjustment instructions below. Many clients report that proper alignment significantly improves their experience.
Clients may be eligible (depending on insurance) to participate in both individual and group therapy. If you’re interested, our Care Coordinator team can help review your benefits. We also offer self-pay options for both group and individual sessions. In addition, our licensed clinical social workers provide traditional talk therapy, which may be covered by insurance in some cases.
